Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit klgnylaw.com. In short: this website has no contact forms and no accounts, we do not sell information, and the only details we receive are the ones you choose to send us by phone or email.
Information you send us
The website does not collect information from you directly. There are no forms, logins, newsletters or chat windows. If you call the number or click an email link on this site, you decide what to tell us, and we use it only to respond to you and to check whether we can take the matter.
Please start with names and a general description, and wait for our instructions before sending confidential documents or sensitive details. Email may be intercepted or misdirected. Contacting us does not by itself make you a client; applicable professional duties to prospective clients may nevertheless apply. Do not rely on an unanswered inquiry to protect a deadline. See our Terms of Use.
Information collected automatically
Two service providers receive limited technical information when a page loads:
- Netlify hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record requests, including your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser and device type. See the Netlify privacy policy.
- Google Fonts delivers the typefaces used here, which means Google receives your IP address when the fonts load. See Google's privacy policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and roughly where they are located. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location based on IP address, referring website, and device and browser type. We also record when a visitor taps the phone number or an email link, so that we know which pages lead people to contact us. We do not use this information to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with anything you tell us by phone or email.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your visit by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Cookies and tracking
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, this website sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising or social media trackers. We do not follow visitors across other websites, and we do not allow anyone else to collect information about your activity here over time. Because the site does no cross-site tracking, there is nothing for a browser "Do Not Track" signal to switch off.
How information is shared
We do not sell, rent or trade information about visitors. Beyond the hosting and analytics providers named above, we share information only when the law requires it, for example in response to a subpoena or court order, or where necessary to protect the security of the site. Information you send us about a legal matter is treated under our professional obligations, including the confidentiality rules that apply to lawyers in New York.
How long information is kept
Correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to respond, to keep a record of the matter, and to meet the recordkeeping obligations that apply to lawyers. Analytics reporting is retained inside Google Analytics under the setting chosen for our account, and host access logs are kept for a limited period by Netlify under its own policy.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, in line with our obligations under New York's data security law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and email in particular can be intercepted or misdirected, so please ask us how to share sensitive information before providing it.
Children
This site offers legal services to businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always appears on this page.
